Join Us For the Day of Inclusion
December 17 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm| Free
Please join us for the Day of Inclusion. This year’s program will focus on Harada House. The Day of Inclusion celebration originated and was formalized by the State of California through the then Assemblyman Mike Eng whose authoring of Assembly Concurrent Resolution 76 designated December 17th as Day of Inclusion in California. This was meant to acknowledge and celebrate all ethnicities and cultures who have made our country their home.
This designation of the Day of Inclusion supports the Mayor’s statement of Inclusivity in the Statement of Building a More Inclusive Riverside Community, adopted by the Mayor’s Multicultural Forum. A copy of the statement is to be found at https://www.riversideca.gov/mayor/pdf/Inclusive-Community-Statement.pdf. It was created by the Mayor’s Multicultural Forum on June 8, 2001, and was adopted by City Council on September 18, 2001.
