“Common Threads” opens Friday, March 18th at Heritage House. We will celebrate National Quilting Day on March 19th with special demonstrations from local quilt guilds and fun activities! If you can’t make it then, don’t worry, this exhibition will be sticking around, with occasional refreshes, until June 26th, 2022.
Heritage House is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. Tours of the house are docent led. Last tour starts a 3:15 p.m.
It was originally pieced together in this popular pattern in 1850 by Lydia Hayes of Farmington, New Hampshire. Although Lydia never came to California, her quilt made the journey when her sister’s descendants moved west and settled in southern California.
