The Museum of Riverside and the Riverside Museum Associates are excited to start the Fall season with lots of activities. First on the calendar is the reopening of Heritage House. Tours can be booked for September 10th – November 21st. During this time, the museum will be hosting “Catharine’s Closet,” an exhibition featuring women’s fashions from the1860s – 1920s. Tours in October will also include “Behind the Black Veil,” with a special focus on death and mourning during the Victorian age. We will release more tours in September for later dates. Along with the themed tour, there is a special fashion show curated by well known costume historian, Phil Livoni.
Join the Museum of Riverside’s Heritage House with costume historian Philip Livoni, as we explore the world of women’s fashions during the 1860s – 1920s. Fashion show and lecture from 1:30 – 2:30 pm with family activities following at 3:00 pm. Tours of the house available before and after the lecture.
